A Motorbike Journey through Burgundy and the French Alps
I’m finally making my dream come true and setting off on a motorcycle trip lasting several days. I live in the Black Forest and have already visited sixty countries around the world, but I haven’t explored my neighborhood yet. It’s about time. I pack my Tiger and set off.
I ride a 2014 Triumph Tiger XC 800. The panniers have been waiting to be used for a long time. I have my tent strapped to the pillion seat in a waterproof backpack.
Heading west. I have seen very little of France in my life, although I can see the country from the window of my apartment. So far, my “trips” there have been limited to day trips to Alsace and a school trip to Paris in 1998.
I don’t have a specific destination. I’m driving towards the horizon.
