An improvised Road Trip through Cuba (2015)

An improvised road trip through Cuba

I have to see Cuba one day! This island in the Caribbean is so unique in its culture that I have to see and feel it once in my life. The people live in a big time capsule and are tragically trapped in it.

On the other hand, this means that there is still a culture here with a legacy of the Spanish colonial period and the American 1950s, coupled with the flair of the revolution of Ché Guevara and the Castro brothers, who still run the government.

The smell of tobacco and rum hovers over the country. The country is so isolated that we can hardly book anything for our trip online. But isn’t that why Cuba is the land of improvisation artists? We want to try it out. My friend Uwe and my brother Hans-Christian are accompanying me on the trip this time. We travel to Havana without a plan and we quickly find people who are willing to drive three crazy Germans around in their car.
