There are few “attractions” in this area of Cuba, only the real Cuba itself. Although the big names of the tourist guides “Varadero” and “Cayo Maria” are not far away, we do not need any Caribbean package tour strongholds. Instead, we decide to visit the small town of Remedios, where there are really no tourists to be seen.

The place is turbulent. It’s cozy, but the heat is oppressive. The animals in the country are to be regretted. If people have little, there is much less left for them.
