Diary Entry
I take the bus to a pavilion in Kinkaku-ji, a former villa of a too-rich man who had the entire building covered in gold. I visit a temple with a Zen garden that was created by someone who had too much time and pebbles.
Afterwards, after getting tired of gold and stones, I visit a bamboo grove, where you can briefly feel like an ant in the tall grass.
In the evening we had dinner together one last time before I left. There is a hot pot – a dish popular throughout Asia. It’s like a European fondue that you eat with rice.
It’s the last evening with my friends. The next day I continue my journey to the city of Nara.
