Diary Entry
We continue our journey. We have finished the program of our safari in Uganda. Our guide Stephen and his two assistants take us to the border.
We drive for five hours through the mountains on small gravel roads in a thunderstorm. Only monkeys watch us from the side of the road. We arrive in Kabale late at night.
There is no question of setting up our tents. Stephen is looking for hotel rooms for us. The places are dirty, but we will leave soon. Tomorrow we will cross the border into Rwanda.
The room isn’t really nice and I have to kill a few cockroaches before I can go to the bathroom. But hey, that’s part of the adventure.

Thanks to Stephen’s help, we cross the border quite easily and immediately find a bus that takes us to Kigali.
Our time in Uganda is over and a new chapter in our East African adventure begins.
